After a long wait, the Ford Ranger will rock the U.S. auto market again in early 2019. Previous versions of this model appeared as compact pickups, but the 2019 model will debut as a fully-functional, mid-sized pickup truck. 

Ford will offer the 2019 Ranger in three incredible models: the base XL, the XLT, and the LARIAT at the top of the range. Adventurous types: equip your Ranger with the powerful FX4 Off-Road Package for an added layer of protection to the undercarriage, including bash and skid plates. Also included in this package are all-terrain tires and a convenient status screen for monitoring the Ranger's pitch, roll, and steering angle of the front wheels. 

The new 2019 Ford Ranger also boasts a 2.3L turbocharged engine and a class-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission. If you are ready to see where adventure takes you then the versatile new 2019 Ford Ranger may be the mid-sized truck for you!

What's New with Driver-Assist Technologies

The Ford Ranger has come a long way technology-wise since we last saw it in the U.S. eight years ago. The new 2019 Ford Ranger has a selection of available driver-assist technologies including: ·         
  • BLIS- Blind Spot Information System with class-exclusive trailer coverage can alert you when a vehicle enters your Ranger's blind spot. It offers additional assistance by alerting when a vehicle is in the blind spot of your trailer when towing.       
  • The adaptive cruise control radar sensor can detect when the vehicle in front of you is slowing down and automatically slows your truck down. Your truck resumes preset speed once traffic resumes normal flow. 
  • The Lane Keeping System can alert you to unintentional lane drifting. The Lane Keeping System alerts you when you start to drift by vibrating the steering wheel and/or applies steering torque to assist you to steer the vehicle back into the correct lane.    
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection can alert you to a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you. If you fail to react in time the brakes pre-charge and increase brake sensitivity to provide full responsiveness. If the appropriate corrective action is not taken and a collision becomes unavoidable, the brakes can apply automatically. 
In addition to the above available driver-assist technologies, the new 2019 Ford Ranger offers you the ability to stay connected with the FordPass Connect feature. The FordPass Connect creates an in-vehicle hotspot that allows you to connect up to 10 devices. The hotspot can be accessed from up to 50 feet outside the vehicle.
